How do we book you as our officiant?

After you reach out, I will get in touch with you to confirm my availability for your date and then we can secure your booking with the signing of a contract. A 50% deposit will also be required at the time of booking.

Do you perform legal ceremonies in Michigan?
Yes! Your ceremony will be legal in Michigan once we have the marriage license signed by the two of you, two witnesses and me. I will guide you through the process of applying for the marriage license and I will file it with the appropriate county office after you're married.
 

What if we're not sure exactly what kind of ceremony we want?

That’s completely normal. Many couples begin the process with a general idea but aren’t sure about the details yet. I’m always happy to talk through your plans and help design a ceremony that feels right for both of you.

What areas do you serve?
I perform weddings all around Metro Detroit. I've performed weddings in downtown Detroit, Royal Oak, Howell, Oxford, Sterling Heights, Port Huron, and more!

Can we write our own vows?
Of course! It's your ceremony. If you want to write (or sing) your own, I'm here to facilitate that for you. I can also offer you examples and templates as well if you don't want to write your own vows.

How long is a typical ceremony?

Most ceremonies are 15-25 minutes long depending on the elements you want to be included.

Can we personalize our ceremony?

Absolutely! It's your ceremony so we can be sure to include some of your favorite stories, certain readings you want included, unity ceremony, and personalized vows.

What types of ceremonies do you perform?

What do you wear?

A suit and tie.​ However, I will always try to accommodate a themed wedding by dressing with the theme! From a beach luau to a Lions tailgate, I will try my best to look the part!

Do you charge for meetings?

No, I do not. I want you to know that I care about your satisfaction with your ceremony, and therefore, I do not charge extra for these meetings.

Where are you located?  Will you travel?

I live in St. Clair Shores.​ I will travel within the state of Michigan. I am willing to travel up to 25 miles at no extra charge.  I charge $0.75 per mile for any wedding that is more than 25 miles from St. Clair Shores.

What happens if our wedding is scheduled to be outdoors but the weather changes?
It wouldn't be the first time, and it won't be the last.  Michigan weather is unpredictable and the weather is never 100% certain. I can adapt easily and will coordinate with you and your venue and/or planner to make the proper adjustments and ensure the wedding still meets your expectations. Most guests have commented that they didn't even realize that the weather caused us to choose "Plan B" for the ceremony.

Do you perform rehearsals?

Yes, I do. As stated on the Pricing Page, I believe that rehearsing for your big day, and making you feel as comfortable as possible, is priceless.  I will work with you and your bridal party to make sure your rehearsal is used to make your actual wedding ceremony that much more seamless.

 

Do you attend the rehearsal dinner or wedding reception?

I never expect to attend either one of these events. However, if you would like me to join you, and I am available, I would like nothing more than to celebrate with you!
